چکیده
Abstract Background To investigate the prevalence of radiographic ischial entheseal lesions in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) compared to rheumatoid (RA). Patients and Methods Thirty-eight PsA 46 RA were included. Anteroposterior radiographs pelvis lateral foot evaluated for lesions. The following sites reviewed: os ischium, bilateral Achilles tendon inferior calcaneus. Abnormalities such as cortical erosions enthesophytes (irregular bony proliferation) recorded. Results frequency enthesopathic changes region was found be statistically significantly higher (50 28.3%, respectively, p=0.04). Enthesopathic calcaneus also occurred more frequently than patients. Conclusion Radiographic are prevalent symptoms that region. Furthermore, ischium observed tendon. These findings regarding structural pelvic contribute knowledge involvement PsA.

Ultrasonographic Enthesopathy and Disease Activity in Psoriatic Arthritis
BACKGROUND To our knowledge, the correlation between ultrasonographic enthesopathy and severity in psoriatic arthritis (PsA) has been done before. However, the correlation between ultrasonography of enthesopathy and the Psoriatic Arthritis Disease Activity Score (PASDAS) have not been done. AIM To compare the results of ultrasonographic enthesopathy of foot and PASDAS in PsA. MATERIALS AND ...
متن کاملS100A8/A9 in psoriatic plaques from patients with psoriatic arthritis
OBJECTIVE To evaluate levels of the calcium-binding proteins S100A8 and S100A9 in the skin of patients with psoriatic arthritis. METHODS Skin punch biopsies were obtained from patients with psoriatic arthritis and healthy control subjects. S100A8/A9 were semiquantified via immunohistochemistry and semiquantitative polymerase chain reaction. RESULTS The study included biopsies from nine pati...
متن کاملFeasibility, reliability, and sensitivity to change of four radiographic scoring methods in patients with psoriatic arthritis.
OBJECTIVE We set out to assess the feasibility, reliability, and sensitivity to change of 4 radiographic scoring methods in psoriatic arthritis (PsA). METHODS Hand and feet radiographs from 50 patients with PsA were scored at 2 time points by 2 assessors with each of the following methods: modified Steinbrocker score, modified Sharp score (MSS), modified Sharp/van der Heijde score (SHS), and ...
متن کاملCardiovascular Risk in Patients with Psoriatic Arthritis
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is an inflammatory arthritis associated with psoriasis. In addition to skin and joint involvement, there is increasing evidence suggesting that patients with PsA also have an increase in risk of clinical and subclinical cardiovascular diseases, mostly due to accelerating atherosclerosis. Both conventional and nonconventional cardiovascular risk factors contribute to th...
